Mr. Mahraj Krishan Pandita is a prominent artist from Kashmir. He has worked for Radio, Television and stage with reputed artists of Kashmir.

He has been trained by various gurus-

1. Shri. Prithvinath Raina from whom he has originally learned music.

2. Shri. T.K Jalali

3. Shri. Shambhunath Sopori

4. Janab Shujat Hussain Khan of Rampur Gharaana who influenced him for
ghazal singing.

5. Rameshwar Prasad Mishra of Banaras Gharaana.

His teachers at Delhi University were-

1. Dr. Ajit Singh Paintal of Kiraana Gharaana, his guide and guru who also guided him for his M.Phil course.

2. Shri. L.K. Pandit of Gwalior Gharaana

3. Dr. Shatrughan Shukl

4. Shri. Wasan Thakaar whose style influenced him in developing his voice culture.

Shri. Pran Krishan Koul has given him opportunities to perform for various programmes such as Gaashtaruk and others.

Mr. P.N. Trisal who was the Programme Executive of Yuvani Radio Kashmir encouraged him a lot. Mr. Pandita started singing from here.

He has performed for various music concerts in Delhi, Srinagar, Leh, Jaipur, Allahabad, Muscat (Oman).

He has given solo concerts in reputed hotels in Oman namely, Ruwi Novotel, Holiday Inn Muscat, Holiday Inn Salalah, Intercontinental Hotel, Sheraton, Mumtaz Mahal, Oasis, Al Bustan Hotel and Crown Plaza.

And India namely, Oberai Palace Srinagar, Imperial Hotel New Delhi, Taj Hotel New Delhi, Vasanth Intercontinental New Delhi.

Mr. Pandita has composed music for theatre in India and Oman. He has worked under the banner of Indian Social Club, Muscat. He has performed in concerts organised by reputed companies in India and Oman and for the Indian Embassy, Oman.

His compositions have been used for various programmes especially for Mr. Krishan Langoo and Shri. Bhajan Sopori who have encouraged him a lot in his career.

He has also given solo concerts exclusively for Kashmiri Pandit Biradiri consisting of about 50 Kashmiri families. This had become a regular feature under the name "M.K PANDITA NIGHT".

He has sung Kannada bhajans for Muscat Karnataka Sangha also giving music for Kannada plays regularly.

He has composed Music for cassettes of Kashmiri Leelas sung by Mr. Rajinder Kachru.

He is one of the recognized judges for Indian Music Competitions in Oman and has also judged many competitions organized by Indian Social Club for all the regional associations of India.

In June 2004, Mr. Pandita recorded songs for Radio Kashmir and Doordarshan Srinagar and also performed in a concert organized by Radio Kashmir Srinagar. He also recorded a solo album of Sai Bhajans in Kashmiri by Ravimech Recording Company in Srinagar.
