The modal verb 'hekun'
In this lesson the modal verb hekun 'can, be able to' is used in different types of sentences. When the modal verb hekun is used, the suffix -ith is added to the main verb stem. The verb hekun takes all the person, number, gender and tense markers, like all other verbs in different types of constructions. E.g. 

The modal verb hekun can be used with the subject in nominative or dative/ergative.
