The Alphabets
 

For the Kashmiri language to be written in Roman, the following strings of alphabets are required.

Vowels
(Upper case and lower case symbols shown side by side)

Each of the seventeen vowels shown above has a specific sound. Those will be introduced ahead.

Consonants
As before, the upper case and lower case symbols are shown alongside.

There are twenty seven consonants in all.
