The Vowels
 

The final symbol in our vowel list is that of the nasalised vowel. This symbol represents what is known in the Devnagri script as the  . Its sound is best represented as being the sound of the combination AL in the English word PALM. N is also vaguely equivalent to the combination "NGG" in English. Thus in Kashmiri we have:
An earthen pot with osier-work on the outside for warming oneself; also called a   in other Indian languages.
The name of a town in Kashmir.
