The Vowels
 

The fourth vowel also has an umlaut placed over the symbol A. It has one more (.) over the symbol for the third vowel and indicates an "extension" of that sound.

By now you would have got the hang of pronouncing the vowels! This vowel has the same sound as that of the letters "ER" in the English word PERT. In Kashmiri, we used this sound in words, such as:
