• In the book, each Kashmiri word and/or sentence is written in IPA font. Since the browser did not support this font when this  site was created, a JPEG image of each such word or sentence was instead used with a link provided to an Real audio clip. Each audio clip was recorded by using Real Networks' RealPlayer application. In order to listen to the audio, click on the boxed JPEG image of the Kashmiri word and/or sentence. Adjust the volume of your speakers.

• Emphasis has been put on each and every Kashmiri word spoken, so that the learners can learn proper pronunciation of words. Therefore, the conversations recorded here at this site have been deliberately kept at a pace slower  than a normal conversation between two Kashmiri speaking individuals. 

• Go through the section titled "The Sounds of Kashmiri" before going through actual conversations.
