We start
with learning of vowel sounds first. As you are aware vowels are produced when
air stream starting from lungs is made to pass through the oral cavity without
any obstruction. The placement of tongue in terms of height, point of tongue
involved and position of lips, i.e., rounded or unrounded are the articulatory
features responsible for the production of vowels.
